After the SCOTUS ruling last week to overturn Roe vs. Wade, we recommend brands practice sensitivity if posting.
#RoeVsWade: The country continues to react after SCOTUS’ recent decision to overturn Roe Vs. Wade. Twitter users are taking to the platform to voice their feelings, share information, and support one another.
#BETAwards: Twitter users are reacting to everything that went down at last night’s BET Awards. From fashion reviews to giving recaps of the most memorable parts of the show.
How brands can jump in: If you watched the show and if it makes sense for your brand, make reference to your favorite moments or your favorite artist of the night. Don’t directly name anything or anyone!
#StanleyCup: The Colorado Avalanche took home the Stanley Cup after going against Tampa Bay Lighting, marking the third championship win for the team.
How brands can jump in: If you’re a sports brand or your social media persona is a fan of the sport or the team, allude to the win and celebrate along hockey fans!

Girls Be Like…
What it is: Twitter users are calling out all of the quirks or inconsistencies they’ve experienced with the girls in their lives, from saying they’re happy but then listening to sad music or claiming they don’t like someone only to get nervous around them. Although the most popular phrase uses girls, it is also used with the opposite gender or it can also be made genderless by using “they”.
How brands can jump in: Start of your tweet with “girls be like”, “boys be like”, or “they be like” and then follow it up with a playful inconsistency or quirk that is related to your brand/product. This trend is pretty flexible so have fun with it!
Examples: 1, 2, 3
Urgency level: This trend became evergreen some time ago but has been picking up steam on Twitter again. You can jump on this trend pretty much anytime, so have it in the back of your pocket for when it feels right!
