The Blue Couch
What it is: This trend began when Amanda Joy (@yafavvmandaa) on TikTok found her dream couch on the street. Users on TikTok were divided with the find: some estimated the couch's worth to be up to $8000 and others are weary that the couch had water damage, stains, and bed bugs. Since then, the couch has blown up and Twitter users have taken to the platform posting commentary and creating lore behind the couch.
How brands can jump in: Does your brand have an opinion on whether the blue couch is a great find or a nightmare piece of furniture? Can you create lore about the couch that ties into your product? Could your brand utilize a consumer truth as a way in? All things to consider when activating on this trend.

Who they are: @NotAllGeminis is an astrology meme page on Instagram that has amassed over 500k followers that appeals to both those who are familiar with astrology as well as those who aren't and relate to the universal messaging of their posts.
Why we love them: Meme pages such as this one have had a long-standing role in culture as a way for people to connect over a common message. The internet is full of niche fandoms, and yet the messaging of memes is universal enough that it brings together communities that wouldn't necessarily interact.
