Happy Pride Month, LGBTQIA+: Today is the first day of Pride Month - a month dedicated to celebrating and uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community!
What brands should be aware of: If your brand speaks to LGBTQIA+ advocacy and representation consistently - or has initiatives in place for Pride Month - today is the day to kick off those messages on social. If your brand does not have actionable support in place for Pride Month and would still like to join the conversation, be mindful of best ways forward.
Ted Lasso: The hit comedy wrapped up its final season on Tuesday night. Twitter users are still sharing their love of the show and sadness of its ending.
How brands can jump in: If your brand is big into soccer, TV or popular culture, there could be a creative way to jump into this conversation - while being mindful of IP.
Shin Kamen Rider: Yesterday, Shin Kamen Rider - a Japanese superhero film directed and written by Hideaki Anno - was released. Fans are into it.
How brands can jump in: If your brand is a pop culture buff, loves action movies or might have something to say about the latest release, this is hot today. Just be mindful of IP!

The Ship, The Hater
What it is: On May 21, @lottielvrs tweeted: "enough about the ship and the shipper what about the ship and the hater" and Twitter has things. to. say. Users are juxtaposing their favorite main character “ships” from shows and movies followed by the “hater” of the couple. A quick reminder: the term “ship” is short for “relationship” as per Gen Z.
How brands can jump in: We're seeing a lot of TV & movie characters featured, but try branching out to something specific to your brand - just be sure to keep the format. What pairing does your brand love or hate? Does your brand persona have a love triangle with someone or something? Have fun with this one!
Examples: 1, 2, 3
Urgency level: H🔥T. This is trending now, so jump on while it's relevant!

The Era of T-Swift's Eras Tour
What it is: The reverberation of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour can be felt beyond diehard Swifties; we’re seeing the impacts of the tour on niche businesses, local economies and ways fans are engaging both online and offline. Businesses that have joined in on the excitement for Swift’s next tour stop by aligning themselves and their products with Swift’s Eras tour. For example, bracelet company Little Words Project used the opportunity to market the popular friendship bracelets to T-Swift fans who have been sharing them amongst each other (and with your favorite Swiftie celebs!) at concerts. Hally, a Gen-Z-focused haircare brand, set up shop and dyed hair in parking lots as they were “taygating” before Miss Swift hit the stage for the night. Even SoulCycle has tapped into these audiences by hosting Taylor Swift-themed rides that consistently sell out and attract new participants.
What we can learn: What happens when thousands of people with shared interests are all in the same place at the same time? Well, you have a great self-selected pool of individuals who care about friendship bracelets, hair clips and see-through bags (see #ErasTourBagPolicy). Brands should recognize the niche and where their product might fit in, fill a gap, or offer fans a new way to show off their love for a person or event. Notably, all of these brands mentioned above provided a value to Swift fans. They didn’t show up just to show up! Brands could think about what niche communities their product speaks to or solves a need for. How could you show up, online or offline, to provide a value at a major social moment such as what we’ve seen within #ErasTour content?
