Hospital Universitario: Users are taking to Twitter to comment on the Puerto Rican hospital which has been without power for several hours now.
#InternationalCatDay: Twitter users are celebrating their favorite felines by sharing pictures, anecdotes, memes, and all things cats today.
How brands can jump in: Perhaps your community manager’s favorite animal is a cat, or there’s a cute UGC of a cat repping your product or brand, or maybe you have a cat meme that you’ve been wanting to share.
Bridget: The video game Guilty Gear Strive announced the first character of season 2, Bridget, and fans are hyped!
How brands can jump in: If your brand has an audience that loves video games or your community manager is a gamer themselves, jump into the conversation by commenting on the new character. Avoid directly naming Bridget or Guilty Gear Strive.
i'm about to “___” my way into a relationship
What it is: In this trend, Twitter users are sharing all of the hilarious and random ways in which they’re going to successfully put themselves into romantic relationships. The more unhinged the ways, the better. Start your tweet with “I’m about to”, add something related to your brand/product, and then end the tweet with “into a relationship”.
How brands can jump in: This trend is super versatile and can work for pretty much anyone. Relate the tweet to a benefit of your product, taking your future bae to your store/location, or use it as an opportunity to highlight a bit more of your community manager’s personality.
Examples: 1, 2, 3
Urgency level: This trend has been evergreen for a while but has picked up on Twitter recently as a few brands have already been jumping on it either again or for the first time.
