Swipe-Through Holiday Gift Guides
What it is: TikTok recently added a feature that allows users to show off a series of images in slideshow-style format paired with audio in the background. TikTokers are utilizing this feature this holiday season to put together gift guides for viewers to take inspiration from. They do so by attaching photos of their favorite products, and labeling the type of person the gift guide is aimed for, the price, and the brand of the item so the viewer knows where to purchase it.
How brands can jump in: This trend is practically made for brands as it highlights product in an easily digestible yet timely way for the consumer. Brands can approach this by giving legitimate recommendations in the products they choose to highlight, or, if your brand has a sillier tone of voice, giving comedic suggestions that inevitably relate back to the brand.

Who they are: Clara Perlmutter (@tinyjewishgirl) is a New York City-based fashion enthusiast who became an internet sensation during the pandemic when her boredom with pajamas drove her to open her eclectic closet to the world of TikTok. Amassing over 800k followers, Clara puts together outfits that challenge the norm, utilizing thrifted oddities and walking us through her thought process along the way.
Why we love them: From putting together colorful makeup looks to styling outfits that show off her lower-back hair, Clara is not everyones cup of tea and she wouldn't have it any other way. She demonstrates that at the end of the day, she is documenting her style journey for herself, and the audience is not always going to understand what she is doing, but that doesn't make it any less worthwhile.
