#SeeYouAtVeeCon: It's that time of year! GaryVee is hosting his popular multi-day super conference featuring emerging leaders in Business, Marketing, innovation and Popular Culture.
What brands should know: While we don't believe there's anything for brands to jump on per se, Gary epitomizes the NFT movement and all things innovative (think AI, VR, etc). If your brand has any connection to those spaces or wants to play in them, take inspo from VeeCon to take creative content risks. Maybe ask followers what they'd want a brand NFT to look like or play with AI filters / chatbots without infringing on IP.
Crystal Skull: Fans are discussing another Indiana Jones film on the heels of a "lukewarm" 5 Minute standing ovation at Cannes after the screening of Harrison Ford's final Indiana Jones picture: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
How brands can jump in: Brands can jump in to the conversation, we just caution they be mindful of rights. The best way in seems to be vague suggestion of the movie or iconic characters in tweet copy.

🔵 Pill 🔴 Pill
What it is: Originating from the 1999 film The Matrix, the pill scene shows a choice Keanu Reeves' character needs to make between two pills, one blue & one red. The FitTok community & others have riffed on this format creating a new template where viewers are encouraged to select their side of preference.
What brands should know: Brands should keep in mind that the term “red pilled” has been adopted by the far right. TLDR: taking a “red pill” is to "wake up" from life as it is known and to face certain realities, i.e. celebrate the rejection of cultural values around gender & racial equality. Read more here
With this said, if brands want to approach this trend WITHOUT risky implications, we encourage they play with the similar “Pick a Side” trend that uses options A & B, and not mention “red pill/blue pill.”
Examples: 1, 2, 3
Urgency level: This trend first started popping up July 2022, so you can bet this will be around for a while. It's recirculating more recently, so up to your brand as to whether you want to execute now or later.
