Instagram Candid Stories: Instagram takes on BeReal and is now allowing users to post stories with both cameras at once. Daily notifications to post will start after your first Candid post.
How brands can jump in: Did your brand get involved with BeReal? Maybe there's a way in on Candid Stories, too! Maybe not though, you don't need to jump on everything.
What it is: Instagram has Notes! First whispered about in October, the platform has now emulated yet another already-existing app: Twitter. Custom messages show up in the messages tab next to your profile picture, where they will last for 24 hours. Many are comparing the new feature to AOL Instant Messenger away messages and finding ways to play off of old trends.
How brands can jump in: While a lot of brands do not yet have access to this feature, there are still ways to play off of it by photoshopping a fake message or making a stink about not having it yet on Twitter or another platform.
