The "We're Not Really Strangers"-ification of social media.
What it is: Accounts like We’re Not Really Strangers, The Female Warhol, and so many more are building engaging social presences by photoshopping (and sometimes actually writing) inspirational messages on inanimate objects serving as vessels for inspirational quotes and then sharing them on Instagram.
How brands can jump in: Is your brand the type to post an inspirational quote? Great! You can adapt to this trend and post an inspirational quote on an inanimate object that best suits your brand. Is your brand more chaotic than inspirational? Also, great! Take out the "inspirational" and add your brand's social tone of voice descriptor.
Examples: 1, 2, 3, 4
Urgency level: You can keep this trend in your back pocket. It has evergreen potential.

Gen Z’s Dating Revolution
What it is: Today's young adults — women, in particular — are increasingly finding romance in their friend groups. According to new research, 43% of people (and 50% of women) between the ages of 18 and 29 said they were in a relationship with someone who was first a friend; just 21% of people over 65 who reported having been friends with their partner or spouse before they started dating. Dating a friend may reduce concerns about trust, which is a major issue for young people. For a young woman, dating someone who shares a connection to the people or places in her life can simply be safer.
This is a monumental shift in how Americans meet their partners. It also represents the most serious repudiation of online-dating culture to date, challenging the idea that young people ignore prospective partners who are stuck in the "friend zone."
What we can learn: "People think that they just have a million options," one 26-year-old woman told INSIDER. "It's like when you want to watch a show, and you put on Netflix, and you literally find yourself not being able to decide for an hour, and then you wind up not watching anything."
Gen Z is thinking smarter—not harder—when it comes to dating and relationships. How can your brand avoid option fatigue?
