What it is: This trend and popular phrase sees users denying one thing at the beginning of the sentence only to admit to it by the end of it but in different words. The best part of this trend is that you can do pretty much anything with it. Just start off your tweet with “Look, I’m not saying” follow it up with something you want to deny, and then finish the sentence by making it clear that the denial was actually false, some are using "but we can't rule it out" to do so.

Are you saying you didn’t eat all of the snacks but now you’re surrounded by its empty bags?
