Denim Day: Today, millions will wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors, and educate themselves and others about all forms of sexual violence.
What brands should know: Do not act on this. Be aware that the topic has a serious tone and you may see some heavy content around this subject!
Administrative Professionals: Today is Administrative Professionals Day! Today, users are thanking, recognizing, and celebrating administrative staff in their offices.
What brands can consider: Don't see a way in for trending content today? Maybe the better move for your brand is to make some meaningful thank-you content for your administrative team/staff. Feel this one out!
this is so Frog and Toad
What it is: In this trend, Twitter users are identifying iconic duos, whether that's a couple, close friends, or a rumored/desired pairing of characters (both fictional and non). Users are selecting photos of their couple and pairing them with either a quote from Frog and Toad, a reference to the story, or by straight-up writing "this is so Frog and Toad," "this is Frog & Toad coded," or another way of insinuating a relation to the classic story.
How brands can jump in: Does your brand have a mascot with an iconic pairing? Maybe you're really close with another brand/a sister brand in a portfolio. Maybe your product has a classic pairing (peanut butter and jelly) and you can play off of that. Find a quote from the original Frog and Toad story to pair with an asset, call you and your pairing "so frog and toad coded," or be clever and find a new way in! It isn't for every brand - because there is a connotation of same-sex love - but it's pure and you can help keep it that way! :-)
