What it is: Twitter unveiled another new platform update yesterday. Users will now be able to post tweets that mix photos, gifs, and videos (previously you could only post one asset type at a time). As with any new platform update, users are having fun experimenting with the form. Right now, the most popular iteration is bringing back the pope meme to showcase iconic examples of pop culture (see here: 1, 2, 3).

How brands can jump in: While we don't necessarily recommend brands jump into the pope iteration of the trend, we do encourage brands to play with the format to show off aspects of themselves in a humorous way. Is there a photo you're reacting to? Is there a fun trick of the eye you can pull with a photo transforming into a video? This one is extremely open-ended so lots of room to have fun here.
Examples: 1, 2, 3
Urgency level: Both hot and evergreen. Jump in now to get in on the experimentation phase or keep this one in your back pocket as a standard platform feature.
