#TaylorSwift: Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have reportedly broken up. Swifties are sad. And rumors are, Taylor is shooting a new music video.
How brands can jump in: Is your brand a Swiftie? Into celebrity gossip? Could be a good moment to hop on a quick reaction GIF crying buckets of tears or a post with some timely lyrics.
#SuccessionHBO: Fans are all a buzz over last night's Season 4, Episode 3 of Succession. Especially Sarah Snook's performance.
How brands can jump in: Does your brand love TV, family drama, or New York? Does your brand anxiously pace while speaking on the phone? Please remember to be mindful of IP though.
#HappyEaster & #HeIsRisen: Today is Good Monday. Practice caution unless your brand is/knows the Easter Bunny.
small gestures (that aren’t small to me)
What it is: This is a sweet one! 💕 TikTok users are sharing small gestures that mean a lot to them (aww). The format goes like this: Slide 1: “Small gestures that aren’t small to me.” Slide 2: gestures typed out. For example, Small gestures that aren’t small to me > receiving CTF in my inbox every morning. 🥰 This is, of course, set to appropriate music and posted as a TikTok photo carousel. People are using this trend to show how you can make a big difference with small acts of kindness, or subverting the popular trend to have a little laugh.
How brands can jump in: What's important to your brand? Are there specific things that would be meaningful to your brand or brand mascot? (i.e. small gestures that aren’t small > sharing a favorite food, making time for something they love). Or maybe take the social media manager's perspective to reveal some truths about the brand behind the scenes (i.e. small gestures that aren’t small > using brand hashtags, being nice to me in the comments section). NOTE: this trend typically uses a song by Daniel Caesar, but you can easily jump in on this format without using the song (just add a melancholic sound instead).
Urgency level: Soon, if possible - definitely seeing a bump in the last couple of days. However, this trend has been active for a while and we expect it to continue.
