Tumblr, Mastodon, Counter Social: As the worry increases about Twitter shutting down, people have been sharing the different social media platforms they will be joining just in case our beloved bird app goes down.
#TwitterShutDown: As more employees are locked out of their accounts and walking away from Twitter, there is increasing worry that Twitter won't have the right people in place to ensure it can still function. As a result, the Twitter community is doing what they do best and they are sharing memes about it.
#Elon / Space Karen: With every update on Twitter's gloomy situation, Twitter users have continuously expressed how they don't support Elon through memes, snarky tweets, and calling him a "Space Karen."
*accidentally splashing water on my phone screen*
What it is: In this trend, TikTok users are pretending to splash water on their phone screen after washing their hands in the bathroom and blaming the water getting into their phone for somehow ordering takeout, buying a flight, or even going on a mini shopping spree. While this trend uses a sound that legal might not approve, you can use any other melodramatic sound in the commercial library to participate in this trend!
How brands can jump in: What's something your brand would "accidentally" buy a bunch of? Maybe it's even an insane amount of your brand's product (if it's available online). Maybe the water didn't cause your phone to buy something but texted the group chat something crazy instead 👀
