#CincodeMayo recognizes a 19th century Mexican army victory in the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-American War. The holiday is minor in Mexico, but in the US, it has a dark history of cultural appropriation. Here are some brands that are doing it right.
What brands should consider: Be careful with this one. Unless your brand has an authentic connection to the culture and flavors of Mexico, it's best to skip to avoid appropriation.
#AlmostFriday: The rumors are true, it is ALMOST Friday.
How brands can jump in: Get your audience in the weekend spirit a little bit early by hopping on this trending tag.

How brands can jump in: Do your fans stan Harry? Show them you feel their pain.
TikTok Car Filter
What it is: TikTokers are using a trending filter that reveals what they do alone in their car. Most examples involve listening to embarrassing music, but the filter is also being used for more broad car activities like speeding over to your friends' house.
How brands can jump in: This filter isn't linked to any specific sound, making it a great way for brands to get in on a trend without risking it on licensed music. Use it in the way that makes the most sense for your brand and taps into something your fans will relate to. For example, are you a fast food brand? You could use the filter to show somebody on their way to pick up some nuggets.
Examples: 1, 2, 3
Urgency level: HOT! Use it now while it's still got gas.
What it is: This morning, H&M dropped a 30 second spot called "The Dentist". The video features an anxious Pete Davidson, who shows up to his dentist appointment wearing a suit.
Why we love it: "The Dentist" feels like a pretty standard TV spot, which is interesting in a moment of "DIY", UGC, homegrown content on social. However, the take away from this video isn't the budget (because, we all know, Pete Davidson is not an inexpensive commodity), but the dialogue. When the dentist walks out and sees Davidson in a suit, he asks, "Are you nervous?", to which Davidson says, "No-- are YOU nervous?". The humanity between the two and the subtle humor is what makes this a fun and effective approach.
