Tonite queen??
What it is: A couple years ago someone really wanted to watch Borat 2 and they asked their friend repeatedly to do so. Obviously Twitter was obsessed with the unhinged text exchange. The joke format stuck and recently has made a return after a viral tweet referenced the annoying Instagram notifications to make a Reel. Over the last few weeks people have been using and referencing both the meme format and text language of asking someone repeatedly to do something annoying, ridiculous, or in character with their personality or a fictional persona.
What brands can learn: This is a great example of something that was a cultural moment making a comeback and becoming so mainstream that sometimes the image isn't even needed for people to "get" it. Since "tonite queen" has become so ubiquitous with the joke, people have been able to simply put those words in text-only tweets and people understand what the reference is. This proves it pays to keep your eyes on how general trends and memes can find their way into evergreen internet language.
