Target Future Collective

What it is: This weekend, content creator, Jenee Naylor launched the first, or hopefully many, collections with Target's Future Collective line. Jenee worked at Target for 10 years and worked her way up to a Store Team Lead. Naylor has had a passion for fashion for a long time and knew it was something she was passionate about, even before her days at Target. Despite maintaining a super busy schedule, she found time for creating her fashion content. Her audience loves her ability to mix high and low end pieces and it's what keeps her audience so engaged in her journey.
What brands can learn: When it makes sense, make the connection. Naylor spent nearly a decade of her time dedicated to Target and building her online community. For Target, taking advantage of an opportunity to work with Jenee was an easy decision. It's a engaging story that has a through-line of loyalty to Target and showed not only that they are tapped into creator culture, but want to help their employees achieve success, and understand Jenee's audience. Target worked with Jenee to create a collection that was representative of who she is, and is versatile by mixing high and low luxe pieces, and the results reflected that. Her community showed up and sold the collection out within 24 hours of its launch.
