Jennifer Lawrence Went on Hot Ones 🔥
What it is:Â Hot Ones has become a perennial stop on the press tour for upcoming movies and shows, so of course the comedy queen and superstar JLaw stopped by to promote No Hard Feelings. As she devoured super hot wings, Twitter users grabbed a scene out of context of her crying and saying "What do you mean??" on repeat. Of course, they then posted the video or QRT'd it adding their own text to make the video serve as a reaction.
What brands can learn:Â This follows a recent pattern of how Twitter trends have evolved. Users are much less likely to make their own memes and design their own graphics. Behavior is changing toward QRTing or posting a pop culture moment or clip out of context and adding text to make it into it's own joke. This text is typically referencing current events or a piece of popular media. In this case, this seems to have really resonated with the Film/TV community of which JLaw has a lot of fans. Some are making direct jokes to the hunger games, some are referencing their reactions to other emotional or confusing moments in media, and some are being literal and referencing big pop culture moments.
