What it is: Users on TikTok always love a reason to share what brings them joy, especially when it involves a low-lift image carousel. The latest trend involves the prompt, "That's so beautiful/pretty, let me take a pic." While this may have started as a trend to honor romantic partners, people have turned this trend on its head to showcase *other* things they admire. For some, that might be food, their pet, or sunsets to name a few. While images tends to be the main format, some are turning to video to increase aesthetic appeal. So far, we've only seen brands like Old Bay Seasoning & Scrub Daddy adopt this and use it as an opportunity to highlight their product(s) and/or further a cross-brand relationship.
What brands can learn: It's clear that this is a new way Gen Z is hard launching their relationships or unashamedly sharing their guilty pleasures. This mode of expression is another way we're seeing this generation producing hyper-personal content to combat an often ad heavy, impersonal algorithm. A trend like this a great way to bring the humanity back into your social marketing approach.
