What it is: TikTok users are returning to the roots of the app by bringing back dance trends. This time, the person watching at home is getting an interesting look at those participating in the video. In this trend, users tape their phones to the ceiling before filming themselves dancing or doing something silly. The trend started about a week ago with one specific sound but it has since grown to be more about the bird's eye view watchers are getting.
What brands can learn: This trend applies to anyone with a phone. The point of it is to show your silly side and just let loose. For brands, it's a reminder that you don't need a huge production or crazy props to participate in or create trends that let us just be and have fun with it.
