The girlies are at it again...#RushTok is in full swing
What it is: #RushTok is a social media phenomenon that started in summer 2021 after campuses reopened post-pandemic. #RushTok blew up on social media when potential new sorority girls documented the entire journey from OOTDS to honest confessions about how difficult the rushing process is. These videos all maintain the same structure which has encouraged others to create #RushTok parodies. While some are making fun, others have grown fascinated by this content and look forward to it every year. This phenomenon has given us all inside access into the exclusive world of sororities at some of the biggest universities in America and we can't get enough of it.
What brands can learn: Despite producing the same content year after year, #RushTok continues to hook TikTok users and inspire endless conversations. People have grown fascinated by #RushTok because it gives them an inside look into something that is incredibly unknown for the average person. Each year, a bunch of girlies put on their best Kendra Scott jewlery and Lululemon tennis skirts and hope they get asked to join the sisterhood; this journey sparks a lot of questions in the average person (even full blown adults) that they just can't stop watching in hopes that their questions will be answered.
