AI fuels the stan wars
What it is: AI has been a hot-button topic online, especially within creative fields recently. AI-powered resources are now being leveraged as both a tool and a toy by stans everywhere. Where 'stans' may have previously debated accolades or discographies and filmographies, they are now fighting using the latest tools at their disposal, creating images of the opposing fandom's idols in rumored situations or moments where they did not succeed as a dig to the fandom for a poor choice in judgment.
What brands can learn: This is yet another example of the internet using the tools at their disposal to cultivate a larger and more passionate fanbase. Fans know taking words and putting it into imagery can make a dig or a celebration that much more real. While internet users are leveraging AI to create images to fight their battles, leverage internal teams and stock libraries leaning into the old adage; a picture is worth a thousand words but only if you own the rights to use it.
