(Lucky) Charms Are Back and Booming
What It Is: Reminiscent of the late 90s and early 2000s, the charm bracelet has seen a resurgence in popularity as of late. They’ve become the latest avenue for people to show off not only one part of their personality, but as many as they’d like (or as many as their wrist can fit). Amongst the most successful of iterations is the ever popular Pandora charm bracelet, though thanks to the TikTok Shop we’re seeing people show off a range of different charm bracelets all over social. As a result, charm bracelet unboxings and charm collection tours have become the latest craze amongst both millennials being taken back to their childhoods and Gen Zers obsessed with this throwback trend.
Brand Takeaway: As seen with these charm bracelets, what was once popular will always find a second life. Repurposing products or ideas as new retro appreciation is by no means a new idea, but with the lust the current generation has for times past it would be silly not to tap into this. While a product may be outdated to you, it could be the first time someone younger has ever seen or experienced it - allowing for a new generation of consumers to create their own interpretations, iterations, and meanings.
